About Me
Aloha mai kākou!
I am a vintage seamstress and lover of historical dress. I dress in the style of the mid-twentieth century for everyday wear with a tendency towards the 1940s.
In terms of sewing, I have made ensembles from every decade from the 1760s to the 1960s. I always have plans to delve into more in the future.
Speaking of the future I also dapple in cosplay, working primarily in the Star Trek, Percy Jackson, and steampunk universes. Although I rather enjoy recreating costumes from stage and screen, I often blend my fandom love into “cross-over” clothes that are more adapted to my everyday vintage wardrobe.
To round out my costuming passion I participate in living history when given the opportunity. To the right, you can see one of my Women’s Airborne Service Pilots (W.A.S.P.) impressions! I am wearing a type of unofficial dress uniform (often dubbed "general's pants") which was worn by W.A.S.P. during inspection and graduation ceremonies before the issuing of a standard uniform c. 1943.
I hope you find my site and creations helpful, educational, and entertaining!
