Featured in the article is all the amazing fashion on display at the annual Muʻu at the Museum event held at Queen Emmaʻs Summer Palace. This lovely event is hosted by the Daughters of Hawaiʻi. This year’s theme was “East Meets West” and celebrated Chinese immigrant influence on Hawaiian fashion.

The evening was spent talking with everyone, all of which share our love for Hawaiian fashion, touring the grounds, and seeing the lovely work of the local fashion designers on display. I took runner up in the fashion show this year with my self-made 1940s pake (Chinese) style holokū. I canʻt wait to see what next year will bring.
